Privacy & Local Tool Data
MagDrill.app does not offer accounts, comments or newsletter signup, and we have not added advertising pixels or third-party analytics. Optional first-party measurement is off until you choose Allow measurement in the footer. Both choices leave all guides, tools and Amazon links available.
When enabled, we count page loads and Amazon product-link clicks. Each count is grouped by UTC date, the page path and type, a coarse screen-width category, and—for clicks—the product ASIN and link placement. We do not send tool inputs, query strings, page fragments, referrer URLs, email addresses, raw IP addresses or raw browser user-agent strings to our measurement database.
There is no visitor or session identifier in this measurement. A random identifier for each event prevents duplicate deliveries; it cannot join separate events into a visitor history. Rapid repeated clicks on the same link within 750 milliseconds are ignored in that page. Click events per 100 measured page loads are not the percentage of visitors who clicked and can exceed 100.
Your allow/off preference is stored only in your browser for up to 90 days. You can switch measurement off in the footer at any time. Global Privacy Control, Do Not Track and supported automated-browser signals keep it off. We also exclude recognized crawler requests, identified signed-in visits and non-production hostnames. These checks reduce internal and bot traffic but cannot identify every bot.
The collector removes event-delivery records using a two-day UTC cutoff and aggregate rows using a 35-day UTC cutoff when it next accepts an event. If no new events arrive, deletion waits for the next accepted event. Hosting backups and operational records have their own platform retention. Turning measurement off stops new collection; already aggregated counts cannot be linked back to you for individual removal.
Numbers and choices entered into the Finder, cutter checker and calculators stay in your browser and are not included in measurement. These tools do not save their inputs across visits. Reloading resets them. Measurement requests are optional and do not wait for, redirect or control Amazon navigation.
The hosting platform processes ordinary requests and connection information to serve and protect the site. Amazon-hosted product images require requests to Amazon servers. Following Amazon or manufacturer links takes you to another website with its own privacy practices. Our Amazon tag identifies this site, not you.
