Model guide availablea compact-capacity corded drill for hole schedules that stay within its 1-1/8-inch annular diameter limit
- Annular diameter
- 1.125″ maximum
- Cutting depth
- 2″ maximum
The 2-inch depth figure is separate from diameter, and a 2-inch cutter is not automatically a 2-inch-diameter cutter. Evolution specifies a 3/8-inch minimum plate thickness. The published magnetic adhesion figure is not a lifting capacity or a reason to ignore that minimum.

Model guide availablea lighter FEIN core-drilling option for work that fits within a 1-1/4-inch annular diameter
- Annular diameter
- 1.25″ maximum
- Cutting depth
- 2″ maximum
FEIN publishes 700 RPM without load and 450 RPM at full load. A comparison table that shows only 450 alongside other machines' no-load figures would be misleading. Also, JME ShortSlugger II is not the earlier JHM ShortSlugger: the exact product number is important when matching manuals and listings.

Model guide availablea purpose-built low-profile option when physical clearance prevents an upright drill from reaching the hole
- Annular diameter
- 1.375″ maximum
- Cutting depth
- 1″ maximum
Cutter compatibility is the main purchasing trap. RotaLoc Plus uses a bayonet-style shank, so an ordinary 3/4-inch Weldon set is not a direct substitute. The 1-inch depth limit also means a compact body does not give the same material range as a full-size 2-inch-depth drill.

Listing specifications need exact-model manual confirmation. Compare the model number, package contents and regional version before ordering.

Model guide availablea general fabrication model whose part-number differences matter almost as much as its headline capacity
- Annular diameter
- 1.5″ maximum
- Cutting depth
- 2″ maximum
The newer permanent-magnet HMD904 is a distinct configuration, not a feature to assign to every HMD904. Likewise, swivel models have different weights and magnetic force figures. A product card should identify the exact configuration instead of combining the most attractive attributes across the range.

Model guide availablea larger-capacity alternative to the S28MAG when a single-speed corded machine suits the work
- Annular diameter
- 1.625″ maximum
- Cutting depth
- 2″ maximum
The US product page lists one speed, not two. Do not import a speed range from a different Evolution machine. Its chuck accessory information also distinguishes the chuck from the HTA47 adapter; confirm what the exact package contains before buying a twist-drill accessory.

Model guide availablea corded two-speed option for buyers who need a 2-inch annular capacity without maintaining a battery fleet
- Annular diameter
- 2″ maximum
- Cutting depth
- 2″ maximum
A 2-inch annular cutter rating does not mean this drill accepts a 2-inch twist drill. It also does not turn the two fixed spindle speeds into variable speed. Do not copy specifications from DWE1622K-QS or other regional versions into a US purchase.

Model guide availablea two-speed Hougen option when the HMD904's diameter limit is the constraint
- Annular diameter
- 2″ maximum
- Cutting depth
- 2″ maximum
Hougen lists the standard machine at 35 pounds and swivel version at 38 pounds. Swivel movement is an alignment feature, not permission to drill on an inadequately supported surface. A Fabricator's Kit and a basic machine also have different accessory contents despite sharing the HMD905 name.
